When do I have to sit the AT?

The same day on which you sit the TE.L.E.MA.CO. test.

I have sat the PRE-TE.L.E.MA.CO test. When can I sit the AT?

If you have passed the PRE-TE.L.E.MA.CO test, you will have to sit the AT in the sessions managed by the Settore sviluppo competenze linguistiche ("For those who do not have to sit the TE.L.E.MA.CO test" section).
If you do not pass the PRE-TE.L.E.MA.CO test, you will have to enrol in one of the following TE.L.E.MA.CO+AT sessions.

If you already hold a valid and recognised English B1 certificate (or higher) you can upload it onto a dedicated page and wait for your English lecturer [a list will be uploaded soon] to validate it.

What do you mean by “valid and recognised certificate”?

You can find a list of certificates recognised by the University of Genoa here.
Only certificates obtained through an exam assessing listening, reading, writing and speaking skills are considered valid.
For the 2023/2024 academic year, we accept certificates which are no older than three years and assessing exams taken from May 2021.

I hold a valid and recognised certificate, where can I upload it?

You can upload it here.

I took an English exam among the ones accepted by the University of Genoa but I have not received the result yet. What do I have to do?

Wait for the certificate and then upload it in the relevant section. Beware: do not sit the B1 AT in the meantime. If you sit the B1 AT and do not pass it, your certificate will not count towards your B1 level, that is, only the most recent result will be taken into account. This means that you will then have to do the English B1 online course to be able to take a B1 test again.

What happens if I upload a B2, C1 or C2 certificate?

It will still be validated as a B1 level.

Exceptions:
